FAQs

Is there a dress code?

Yes, please wear something!
The dress code is Formal. This means suits and ties for the men, and dresses for the ladies.

Isn’t it cold in Ballarat?

It sure is! But hopefully not in March. The wedding is on the first day of Autumn and its typically a lovely time of year in Ballarat with an average daytime temperature of 23 degrees. Daylight savings will still be in effect so it will still feel like summer. Or it might rain…

Can we bring our kids?

Please leave your kids at home, with someone looking after them of course! The church is relatively small and will only have enough room for the adults. Also, you might like to take the day (or weekend) off from your parenting duties.

What time does the ceremony/reception start?

The ceremony will begin at 2:30pm, followed by the reception at 6:00pm. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to ensure you’re seated in time. Please note it takes approx 20 mins to drive to Buninyong from the Ballarat CBD.

What can I do between the ceremony and reception?

We are hoping to minimise the amount of time you have to kill between the two events. However, we still need some time with our photographer! You are welcome to head back into Ballarat after the ceremony and grab a drink and/or a snack. There are many great bars and pubs around the area so you’ll find something that suits your fancy. We’d recommend checking out Itinerant Spirits, a lovely little cocktail bar located in the same building as the reception.

Is there any car parking?

The ceremony will take place at Buninyong Anglican Church. There is ample street parking available for your convenience. The reception venue, The Goods Shed also has plenty of free parking onsite.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Please let us know in the form when you RSVP. We’ll make sure to cater for you as best as we can.

How do I/we RSVP?

Please let us know if you will be attending by filling out the RSVP form. If you cannot make it, you will be missed, but if you could still complete the form to let us know that would be great. Thanks!
